LG Electronics USA said on October 5 that it signed a long-term supply deal with AIR Control Concepts to provide chillers for AI data center projects exceeding 5 gigawatts in the US and Canada.

LG said its refrigerant-free cooling design used about 30% less energy each year than waterside free-cooling in a full-load, single-unit simulation under Seoul-area conditions. The company said actual energy use may vary.

LG also reported first-half 2026 data center cooling orders of more than US$428 million.

The deal follows LG’s announcement that it is establishing its first US factory for AI data center chillers.
