LG Innotek to mass-produce humanoid robot parts by 2026

LG Innotek plans to begin mass production of key components for humanoid robots in 2026, with production volumes potentially increasing tenfold annually from 2027 or 2028.

CEO Moon Hyuk-soo announced this during the company’s shareholders’ meeting at LG Sciencepark in Seoul.

The company is working with partners on robot hands, joints, and camera components, identifying the humanoid robot market as a major growth opportunity. Further updates are expected at industry events like Consumer Electronic Show (CES).

Moon also addressed concerns about potential tariffs on products made in Mexico due to US trade policies.

While clients currently absorb these costs, LG Innotek is negotiating to mitigate any future impact. On the EV industry, he predicted a demand recovery by the end of 2025.
