LG Energy to supply batteries for Aptera Motors’ EVs

LG Energy Solution has signed a seven-year deal to supply cylindrical batteries to US-based electric vehicle manufacturer Aptera Motors.

Effective from 2025 to 2031, the agreement includes a total of 4.4 GWh of battery supply.

As part of the collaboration, Korean battery pack assembler CTNS will use LG Energy’s batteries to produce packs for Aptera’s vehicles.

Aptera’s solar-powered two-seat, three-wheeled electric vehicle, expected to launch this year, offers up to 643 kilometers of range on a single charge.

The vehicle can also cover 64 kilometers daily using solar energy alone.
