LG Electronics invests in US-based software firm Apex.AI
LG Electronics has invested in US mobility software startup Apex.AI as part of its series B funding extension. The financial details of this investment were not disclosed.
This marks LG’s first strategic investment in a US-based mobility software company.
Apex.AI, based in Silicon Valley, develops scalable and safety-focused software solutions, including its Apex.Grace framework, which helps carmakers and suppliers transition to software-defined vehicle systems.
The investment follows an MoU signed last year between LG and Apex.AI to develop a next-generation high-performance computer integrating advanced driver assistance and vehicle control technologies.
A prototype is set to debut at Consumer Electronic Show (CES) next year.
Apex.AI said that LG’s investment will support its expansion across industries and regions while advancing software-defined vehicle technology solutions.
