LG CNS sees profit rise 19% on AI growth
South Korean IT services company LG CNS said on April 30 that first quarter revenue rose 8.6% year on year to 1.3 trillion won (US$894 million).
Its operating profit increased 19.4% to 94.2 billion won (US$64.1 million), helped by AI and cloud demand.
Its AI and cloud unit posted 765.4 billion won (US$520 million) in revenue, up 6.7%, and made up 58% of total sales.
In February, LG CNS was selected as a supplier of OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise and has signed about 10 domestic customers.
The company also won a design-build-operate data center project worth more than 1 trillion won (US$680 million) in Goyang.
It also plans to complete an AI data center in Indonesia by the end of 2026.
