Lenskart gets green light for $900m IPO in November

Lenskart has received the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) approval for its planned IPO, expected to launch in mid-November 2025.

The eyewear retailer will raise 2,150 crore rupees (US$242 million) in fresh funding, while existing shareholders including SoftBank, Temasek, and others will sell 132.3 million shares.

The IPO is estimated at 7,500 crore rupees (US$845 million) to 8,000 crore rupees (US$900 million), making it one of India’s largest this year.

Kotak Mahindra, Morgan Stanley, Citi, Avendus Capital, and Intensive Fiscal Services are the lead managers.

Proceeds will support new store openings, rental expenses, and potential acquisitions, after Lenskart reported 297 crore rupees (US$33.4 million) profit on 6,625 crore rupees (US$746 million) revenue in FY25.
