Lenskart gets approval for $1b IPO plan

Lenskart, an Indian eyewear retailer, has received shareholder approval for its initial public offering (IPO).

This decision was confirmed during the company’s annual general meeting on July 26, 2025, according to filings with the Registrar of Companies.

The IPO aims to raise 2,150 crore rupees (US$250 million) through a fresh issue of shares.

Including a secondary share sale by existing investors, the total offering could reach 8,500 crore rupees (US$1 billion).

This amount could potentially rank among the largest startup IPOs in India’s history.

In preparation for the listing, Lenskart transitioned to a public limited company in May.

It changed its name from Lenskart Solutions Private Limited to Lenskart Solutions Limited.

The company is targeting a valuation of 85,000 crore rupees (US$10 billion) upon its listing.
