Lenovo plans to partner with multiple large language model (LLM) providers globally to integrate AI into its devices, according to CFO Winston Cheng.

The company aims to equip its products, from PCs to smartphones and wearables, with AI technology, and recently introduced a cross-device system called Qira.

Unlike Apple, which works with OpenAI and Google, Lenovo seeks partnerships with developers such as Humain, Mistral AI, Alibaba, and DeepSeek, Cheng said.

The company is adopting an orchestrator approach, focusing on partnerships rather than developing its own LLMs, citing global regulatory considerations.
