Lenovo expands AI security offering in Singapore, APAC
Lenovo said on October 14 it would add SentinelOne Prompt Security to its ThinkShield portfolio in Singapore and other Asia Pacific markets.
The company plans a regional launch at GovWare 2026.
Lenovo, which is listed in Hong Kong, said the tool would help companies monitor employee AI use and set data-sharing rules.
Lenovo said the product lets security teams see shadow AI use, blocks sensitive data from being sent to unauthorized AI apps, and protects against prompt injection attacks.
Singapore has issued draft guidelines on personal data use in generative AI, signaling regulatory attention to how personal information is handled in AI systems.
A PagerDuty survey suggests shadow AI is common in workplaces, with 66% of surveyed office workers saying they engage in it.
Lenovo said this extends its existing collaboration with SentinelOne, a California-based cybersecurity company, on endpoint security.
It also cited its own research showing 90% of IT leaders saw gaps in their ability to defend against AI-driven threats.
