X launches new video tab feature for US users
X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has launched a dedicated video tab for its users in the United States.
The new feature adds a vertical video feed to the app’s bottom bar, facilitating quicker access to video content.
In a post on January 19, X described the new tab as “an immersive new home for videos.”
This feature consolidates the platform’s existing short video functionality.
It allows users to tap on a video and scroll for more content within a centralized section.
The update arrives as TikTok and Lemon8, both owned by ByteDance, have been removed from US app stores.
