KT Cloud, a South Korea-based cloud and data center operator, said it will design, build, and operate a 50MW AI data center in Cheongna, Incheon. Construction will start in the fourth quarter of this year, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2030.

The facility will include a liquid-cooled AI zone for high-density graphics processing unit servers and separate space for general cloud services.

KT Cloud will oversee design consulting, major facility construction, and pre-operation testing. Hyundai Engineering will handle the architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.

KT Cloud said the Cheongna site is within an hour of Seoul’s business districts and close to Gimpo and Incheon International Airports.

The company plans to connect the center with its Gasan and Mokdong bases to support customer expansion. It is also pursuing projects in Gunsan and other regions, with a target of more than 1GW of AI data center capacity by 2031.
