South Korean robotics company Doosan Robotics has announced plans to acquire a majority stake in Onexia, a US-based robotics engineering firm.

This acquisition aims to enhance Doosan’s capabilities in intelligent robotic solutions.

The company’s board has approved the acquisition of an 89.59% stake in Onexia for around 35.6 billion won (US$25.8 million).

This will be done through a combination of share purchase and capital investment.

Doosan Robotics also plans to acquire the remaining shares within three to five years to secure full ownership of Onexia.

Onexia, established in 1984, specializes in designing automated systems for various industries, including manufacturing, logistics, and packaging.
