Korea to launch its first commercial space vehicle
Innospace, a Korean space startup, has received approval to launch Hanbit-Nano, the country’s first commercial space vehicle, with the launch likely in November.
The company completed regulatory procedures after securing clearance from the Korea AeroSpace Administration and has started final launch preparations at Brazil’s Alcantara Space Center.
The launch window is set between October 28 and November 28, coordinated with the Brazilian Air Force, and is expected to occur in November pending weather and technical checks.
Hanbit-Nano will carry eight payloads, including small satellites for climate, technology, and educational purposes, as well as three experimental payloads.
The mission will also transport a commemorative payload for a Korean beverage company.
This launch is expected to be the first commercial vehicle mission from a Brazilian space center using Innospace’s own launch platform.
