81% of Singaporeans plan to use AI for gifts: Klaviyo
Klaviyo used its K:SGP event in Singapore on October 20 to announce AI product updates and release holiday shopping research, after the US-based marketing software company opened its Asia headquarters there in August.
Klaviyo’s holiday survey of 500 Singapore consumers found that 81% planned to use AI to find gifts, the highest share across the eight markets surveyed.
Among respondents in Singapore, 31% of AI-assisted shoppers planned to spend more than last year, compared with 10% of non-users.
Klaviyo also said its Composer tool can flag underperforming campaigns without a prompt, while its Customer Agent can answer shopper questions in more than 100 languages.
The updates come as Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission has issued advisory guidelines on the use of personal data in generative AI, after earlier draft guidance was outlined.
The guidance provides compliance context for merchants using AI in customer service and marketing.
