KKR leads $700m series B for US-based identity security firm

Saviynt, an identity security company based in Los Angeles, has raised US$700 million in a series B round led by KKR, valuing the company at around US$3 billion.

Other investors include Sixth Street Growth, TenEleven, and Carrick Capital Partners.

Saviynt provides a platform that manages and secures digital identities for human, non-human, and AI agent users across enterprise applications, data, and infrastructure.

The company said it will use the funding to expand product development, enhance its AI-based security offerings, and support migration from legacy solutions.

Saviynt serves over 600 global enterprise customers, including more than 20% of Fortune 100 firms.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

Saviynt raised $700 million at $3 billion with no public proof of profitability or operating efficiency

  • Saviynt, an identity security provider, reported Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) over $200 million and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Annual Contract Value (ACV) $60 million in 2024 1. The company has not shared profitability metrics, revenue growth, or net retention to support a $3 billion valuation at 15x ARR.
  • If a large share of the $700 million is secondary capital, meaning shares bought from existing holders rather than new money, that leaves less runway for migrations off legacy tech 1 and AI capability development 2.
  • A base of 500 plus customers 2 protecting 60 million identities 2 suggests limited reach, which invites questions about valuation driven by category optimism.

System integrators and migration specialists benefit from Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) replacement with Saviynt practices

  • Targets replacements of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools such as Oracle Identity Manager plus SailPoint 13. CA now part of Broadcom plus SAP also apply. Firms that still run these systems need migration services plus tooling.
  • KPMG, a global consulting firm, built an Automated Migration Tool 4 that speeds onboarding and data migration to Saviynt’s platform. That gives system integrators like Accenture, Deloitte, and regional IT services players a blueprint for accelerators with prebuilt connectors.
  • Organizations on Oracle OIM face costly custom work, high support needs, and compliance issues from outdated security features 5. Migration partners can package assessment workshops, roadmap development, plus implementation services around Saviynt’s platform as an alternative.
