J&T Express said its Southeast Asia parcel volume rose 83.5% year on year to 213 million parcels during Double 6 shopping festival.

Average daily parcel volume reached 35.51 million.

The company said peak-day parcel volume exceeded 37 million on June 2. Indonesia and Thailand posted the fastest growth, with parcel volumes up 112% and 89%, respectively.

J&T Express said Thailand expanded its transport fleet.

Vietnam set up a three-tier flexible support team that added capacity for 120,000 parcels a day during peak periods.

Indonesia deployed an AI-powered monitoring system to track parcel flows in real time.

J&T Express held 25.4% of Southeast Asia’s parcel delivery market in 2023, according to its annual results.

It also comes as competition has driven down courier rates and margins across parts of the region.
