JPMorgan leads $441m debt financing for Global AI

Global AI, a two-year-old technology company, said on Aug. 10 that it had secured a US$441 million debt facility arranged by JPMorgan Chase & Co., with participation from other unnamed lenders.

The financing will support the company’s expansion as demand grows for AI data centers.

CEO Sami Issa said Global AI has US$6.2 billion in contracted revenue, including US$1 billion from projects already built and delivered to customers.

The company expects to have 1 gigawatt of capacity available by 2029, enough to power up to 750,000 US homes at any given time.

The deal highlights how AI infrastructure companies are using debt alongside venture funding to finance chips and data center buildouts.
