JP Morgan Chase has acquired Sri Lankan fintech startup WealthOS, marking a significant exit for the local ecosystem.

The deal involves a buyout of all shareholders, allowing investors and employees to cash out.

While the price was not disclosed, sources say it exceeds US$30 million, making it one of Sri Lanka’s largest startup exits.

Founded in 2019 and built in the UK, WealthOS provides digital wealth management infrastructure for financial institutions.

The acquisition will help JP Morgan accelerate its digital wealth offerings by using WealthOS’s platform, APIs, and Colombo-based engineering team.

The deal could boost confidence and draw more global attention to Sri Lanka’s fintech talent.
