JioStar to remove content from YouTube
JioStar, a joint venture of Reliance Industries, Viacom18, and The Walt Disney Company, is reportedly considering removing its entertainment content from YouTube starting May 1.
This decision aims to limit subscriber migration from traditional television to free online platforms. However, it has not yet been finalized.
Last month, JioStar launched JioHotstar, a unified streaming platform that merges content from JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar.
Since then, the platform has placed certain content, including sports, behind a paywall on JioHotstar.
