Jeff Bezos sold nearly US$350 million of Amazon shares in his first sale of 2026. The sale came days after he disclosed plans to sell up to 15 million Amazon shares worth more than US$4 billion.

Amazon’s stock has risen 18% this year, helping lift its market value above US$3 trillion after strong revenue growth in its cloud computing business. Even after the sale, Bezos still owns an 8.16% stake, making him Amazon’s largest shareholder.

Bezos has sold more than US$38 billion of Amazon stock since 2020, including over US$8.5 billion in 2024. He has also donated Amazon shares now worth more than US$1 billion to nonprofit organizations since the start of 2025.
