Richard Liu, founder of JD.com, has called for a review of the company’s operations after an employee flagged issues such as poor support for merchants and higher prices compared to competitors.

Liu reportedly agreed with the issues raised and said the company must change or there will be “no way out” for JD.com.

The move mirrors recent actions by Alibaba’s founder Jack Ma, who raised similar concerns due to heightened competition from companies like PDD Holdings.
