Japanese chipmaker Rapidus unveils new AI design tools

Rapidus, a government-backed semiconductor firm in Japan, has announced new AI-powered design tools intended to speed up chip development and lower costs.

The new suite, including the Raads Generator tool, is set to launch next year and is optimized for the design of advanced 2-nanometer chips.

Rapidus said AI integration could cut design time in half and reduce costs by 30%.
