Japanese chipmaker Kioxia raises $793m in IPO

Kioxia, a Japanese memory chip manufacturer supported by Bain Capital, has raised 120 billion yen (around US$793 million) through its IPO.

The IPO included overallotments and set the share price at 1,455 yen (US$9.62), valuing Kioxia at 784 billion yen (around US$5.18 billion).

The price settled in the mid-range of the marketed 1,390 yen (US$9.19) to 1,520 yen (US$10.05) per share.

Bain Capital and Toshiba will sell shares, and Kioxia will issue new shares, raising 31 billion yen (around US$205 billion) in proceeds.
