The collaboration will allow government employees in Japan to access Gennai, a new tool built with OpenAI’s technology.

OpenAI is also working with the OECD and G7 to track the Hiroshima AI Process, an international effort led by Japan to set global standards for safe and secure AI use.

The initiative covers governments, private sector, academia, and civil society across Asia and emerging markets.

OpenAI said it will pursue government security certifications and continue working with Japanese authorities on responsible AI deployment.
