Despite having largely stepped back from Alibaba’s operations, Jack Ma has called for a fundamental change across the company in a surprise internal memo. Ma spoke out as the company he founded continues to lose market share to rivals like PDD Holdings.

However, Ma did not specify which areas Alibaba needed to revamp for the ecommerce giant to “correct its course.”
