Alibaba Group co-founder Jack Ma has launched “Hangzhou Ma’s Kitchen Food,” a company that processes and sells farm produce, with an initial capital of US$1.4 million.

The new firm – which aligns with Ma’s focus on agriculture and education in recent years – is his latest venture since exiting the public sphere amid the Chinese government’s crackdown on the tech industry.
