Israeli top quantum startups raised $300m in 2025: report
A new map released by Earth & Beyond Ventures in collaboration with Deloitte Catalyst identifies nine main quantum computing startups in Israel.
These companies have collectively raised about US$650 million to date, with over US$300 million secured in 2025 alone.
Quantum Machines leads the pack with US$170 million in funding, followed by Classiq with US$110 million.
Other startups include Quantum Source, Qedma, Quantum Art, QuamCore, Qarakal, QuantyMize, and Quantum Transistors.
Although Israel’s efforts are smaller than major national initiatives in the US and China, the country shows a strong focus on innovation.
The Israeli government has invested 100 million shekels (US$27 million) to establish the Israeli Quantum Computing Center (IQCC).

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Israel employs a distinct funding approach in the quantum race
Israel’s $650 million in quantum computing investment through predominantly private capital, compared to its modest $27 million government program, follows a national pattern of leveraging private funding to compete against much larger state-backed initiatives.
This approach mirrors Israel’s successful 1990s Yozma program that transformed the country’s venture capital landscape from just $58 million to $3.3 billion through strategic public-private partnerships 1.
While major competitors like China have committed $10 billion to quantum research and the U.S. has allocated $1.8 billion in federal funding, Israel’s reliance on private capital reflects its established innovation ecosystem where companies quickly commercialize technologies 2.
The strategy appears to be working in quantum computing, with Israeli startups securing substantial funding rounds ($170 million for Quantum Machines and $110 million for Classiq) despite competing against nations investing billions in national initiatives.
This approach has historical precedent in Israel’s cybersecurity sector, where the interconnection between military experience (particularly Unit 8200), academic institutions, and private investment created a globally competitive industry 1.
2️⃣ Quantum computing has become the 21st century’s technological arms race
The competition for quantum supremacy has evolved into a geopolitical contest with more than 20 countries launching national quantum initiatives backed by substantial funding.
