Israeli telemetry startup Sawmills raises $10m seed funding

Sawmills, an Israeli startup specializing in telemetry data management, has raised US$10 million in a seed round led by Team8, with support from Mayfield and Alumni Ventures.

Founded by Ronit Belson, Amir Jakoby, and Erez Rusovsky, the company offers an AI-powered platform to optimize telemetry data management, lower observability costs, and improve monitoring.

Reports show companies spend a median of US$2 million annually, with some facing unexpected expenses like a financial firm’s US$65 million charge.

Sawmills’ AI platform analyzes telemetry data, detecting issues such as missing data points and duplication, which can inflate costs and cause inaccurate system analyses.

The fresh funding will help Sawmills enhance its platform, addressing the financial and operational challenges enterprises face in managing observability tools.
