Qbeat, a new VC fund launched by Israeli technology veterans, aims to invest in early-stage quantum computing startups.

The fund seeks to raise US$100 million and plans to support 12 to 15 hardware and software companies, covering pre-seed to series A funding rounds.

It is the first Israeli fund dedicated exclusively to quantum technologies and one of the few globally. While primarily focused on Israeli startups, Qbeat also plans to expand internationally.

The fund was founded by Dr. Dorit Dor, Maya Racine Netser, and Joab Rosenberg.

Dr. Dor, the CTO of Check Point, has nearly 30 years of experience in product development.

Rosenberg, a reserve colonel in Israel’s Intelligence Corps, has conducted quantum research at the Weizmann Institute. Racine Netser, a former lawyer, specializes in biomedical sector exits.

Qbeat has already made its first investment and is finalizing another.

The company aims to bridge the gap between research and commercialization by diversifying into software and quantum sensor startups.
