Israeli mobile gaming platform raises $26m series A

Appcharge, a company that provides direct-to-consumer platforms for mobile game publishers, has secured US$26 million in a Series A funding round.

Creandum led the round with participation from Supercell, Bitkraft Ventures, Moneta Ventures, and several existing investors.

Based in Israel, Appcharge was founded by CEO Maor Sason and general manager Roei Barassi. The company employs about 50 people.

Its platform allows mobile game publishers to sell virtual items directly to players. This enables developers to keep more of their earnings.
