Israeli legal AI startup Chamelio raises $26m in series A
Chamelio, an Israeli startup that builds AI software for corporate legal departments, has raised US$26 million in a series A round led by Entrée Capital to expand its product and team.
Existing investors Work-Bench and Emerge Ventures also joined the round, along with Bright Pixel Capital.
The company said it will use the funding for its proprietary legal action model, onboarding technology, and to expand its legal engineering and product teams.
Founded in 2024, Chamelio sells software for in-house legal teams that can draft, review, negotiate, and route contract work.
The funding comes as legal departments face rising demand without matching growth in budgets or staffing, according to the 2026 State of the Industry Report from the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium.
Lawyers have also warned that sharing confidential information with third-party AI systems could waive attorney-client privilege.
For multinational legal teams, cloud AI tools can also complicate adoption because of data localization and cybersecurity obligations.
