Israeli drone maker Heven reportedly valued at over $1b

Heven AeroTech, an Israeli drone maker now headquartered in the US, reportedly reached a valuation of over US$1 billion after a US$100 million funding round led by IonQ, according to a public post from investor Lauren Eboni of Texas Venture Partners.

IonQ, a US-based quantum computing company, will also integrate its quantum sensing, communication, navigation, and security technologies into Heven’s drones as part of a new cooperation agreement.

Heven was founded in 2019 and develops hydrogen-powered drones for long-range and heavy-payload missions, with a focus on the American defense sector after merging with Zepher Flight Labs.

The technologies are designed to help drones maintain stable operations in areas with heavy electronic interference, which is a growing requirement for military and security applications.

Jordan Shapiro, president and general manager of quantum networking, sensing, and security at IonQ, will join Heven’s board as part of the collaboration.
