Israeli drone firm Lowental Hybrid raises $5m seed funding

Israeli drone propulsion firm Lowental Hybrid has raised US$5 million in seed funding to commercialize its hybrid propulsion technology.

The funding round was led by Ace Capital Partners and included contributions from Nir Zuk, founder of Palo Alto Networks, and the Israel Innovation Authority.

Founded in 2018 by Itay and Netta Lowental, the company develops hybrid propulsion systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones.

Its technology integrates electric power with fuel-based propulsion, allowing for extended operational times while maintaining the low noise levels typical of electric systems.

The funding is expected to facilitate the wider adoption of Lowental’s propulsion systems in international markets.
