Israeli data firm Bright Data expands in APAC on AI demand
Bright Data, an Israel-based web data infrastructure company, said at SuperAI in Singapore on June 10 that it is increasing investment in Asia-Pacific.
The company cited strong growth in its regional AI customer base, which grew 2x year over year in each of the past two years.
APAC now account for nearly one-third of Bright Data’s global AI customer base. The region also contributes more than 20% of its global AI spend.
China and India make up about 60% of Bright Data’s regional AI customer base. The company is also adding sales, marketing, and support staff in Singapore, China, India, Japan, and other markets.
Bright Data provides tools and datasets that help AI companies access public web data for training and application.
The expansion comes as IMARC estimated that the Asia-Pacific AI market was worth US$40.5 billion in 2025.
The business also operates in a legally contested area. A court in the US in 2024 dismissed claims by X over scraping public content, while APAC rules remain uneven, with China more restrictive than Japan and India.
