Israeli cloud security startup Upwind raises $300m
Israeli cloud security startup Upwind has raised about US$300 million at a roughly US$3.8 billion valuation, less than eight months after completing a US$250 million series B round at about US$1.5 billion.
The new round is led by Bessemer Venture Partners and TCV, with Craft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Greylock, Cyberstarts, Leaders Fund, and Alta Park Capital also participating.
Founded in 2022 by Amiram Shachar, along with fellow Spot.io alumni Liran Polak, Lavi Ferdman, and Tal Zuri, Upwind sells software that monitors cloud environments in real time.
The company operates in the cloud-native application protection platform, or CNAPP, market.
Beyond its core product, Upwind has joined the Open Secure AI Alliance with Nvidia and said it is using Nvidia Nemotron models to support security operations for large language models, or LLMs.
