Salesforce acquires Israeli cloud firm Own for $1.9b
Salesforce has finalized the acquisition of Israeli cloud backup firm Own for US$1.9 billion.
The cash transaction marks Salesforce’s largest acquisition since buying Slack in 2021.
Horizon Capital, Vertex, Insight Partners, BlackRock, and Tiger Global are notable beneficiaries of the acquisition.
Own, established in 2015, specializes in secure data management for Salesforce applications.
The company raised nearly US$500 million in prior funding rounds and reached a peak valuation of US$3.3 billion in 2021.
