Israeli biotech firm secures $7.1m seed funding

Israeli biotech firm Senseera has secured US$7.1 million in seed funding, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from I-Next Capital and the Lowy Medical Research Institute.

The funds will advance its liquid biopsy platform, which uses cfChIP-seq technology to analyze gene expression from blood samples for non-invasive diagnostics in liver diseases, oncology, immunology, and metabolic disorders.

The company aims to improve diagnostics for conditions like liver transplant rejection, focusing on early detection and monitoring.

The funding will also support clinical development, trials, and partnerships with biopharma firms, while aiding drug development through tissue-immune cell interaction insights.

The technology is based on data derived from over 20,000 human samples, promising advancements in precision diagnostics.
