Israeli biopharma firm Omnix Medical nets $25m series C
Omnix Medical, an Israeli biopharmaceutical company, has raised US$25 million in a series C funding round to support the development of treatments for antibiotic-resistant infections.
The round was co-led by Harel Insurance & Finance and the European Innovation Council Fund, with participation from Entrée Capital, Tal Ventures, Xenia Ventures, Oriella Limited, Prevail Partners, and OurCrowd.
The company, founded in 2015, has now raised a total of US$43 million.
The new funding will be used to complete phase II clinical trials, prepare for regulatory processes, scale up manufacturing, and develop additional antimicrobial peptides.
