Israeli bio-insecticide startup secures $6.1m series A
Israel-based crop protection company Ibi Ag has secured US$6.1 million in the first phase of its series A funding, led by Corteva, Inc. through its Corteva Catalyst platform.
Other investors include The Trendlines Group, Iron Nation, Consensus Business Group, and a grant from the Israel Innovation Authority.
The company develops bio-insecticides using single-domain antibody technology from the pharmaceutical sector.
Its solutions target pests while minimizing harm to non-target organisms, reducing ecological impact.
Initially focusing on high-value crops, Ibi Ag plans to expand into row crops.
Founded by The Trendlines Group with Amir Ayali, PhD, and Rony Oren Benaroya, PhD, Ibi Ag has received support from the Israel Innovation Authority.
