Israeli AI security startup Pluto launches with $42m

Pluto Security, an enterprise security startup with staff in the US and Israel, has publicly launched with about US$42 million in funding.

The company helps businesses monitor employees’ use of AI tools and agents as adoption creates new security risks.

The funding includes a US$8.5 million seed round led by TLV Partners and a US$34 million series A led by Jump Capital.

CEO Shahar Bahat said Pluto began selling in April and now has more than 30 enterprise customers, including Oscar Health and Workato.

Bahat said about 60% of the risks Pluto detects across its customer base come from AI apps built by non-developers. Finance teams are the biggest source of those risks, followed by marketing and legal teams.
