Israeli AI avatar firm D-ID buys Germany’s Simpleshow for $60m

D-ID, an Israeli company that creates interactive avatars, will acquire Simpleshow, a Germany-based provider of AI-powered video solutions, in a deal worth about US$60 million.

The acquisition is set to close in Q4 2025, pending regulatory approval.

D-ID, which has offices in Tel Aviv and New York and employs 65 people, raised new funding to support the purchase.

Simpleshow, headquartered in Berlin and employing about 130 staff, serves more than 1,350 enterprise customers, including several Fortune 1000 firms.

The combined company will integrate D-ID’s digital human technology with Simpleshow’s explainer video platform for enterprise clients.
