Israeli agtech startup BloomX raises $13m
BloomX, an Israeli agtech startup that develops pollination systems for farms, has raised US$13 million in a series A round led by Elah Fund, bringing its total funding to US$20 million.
Founded in 2019, BloomX offers robotic and electric field-based pollination systems through a “Pollination-as-a-Service” model for crops including blueberries and avocados.
The company has said the technology can help stabilize yields in blueberries and boost yields in avocados.
The funding comes as growers seek more reliable pollination amid climate change and declining natural pollinator populations, with a US Department of Agriculture project examining blueberries, pollinators, and pests under changing climate conditions.
BloomX said the new capital will support expansion in Peru, Mexico, South Africa, and Israel as it plans to enter the US and other Latin American markets.
