Israeli 5G security platform OneLayer raises $28m for global growth
OneLayer, an Israeli provider of security and management software for private LTE and 5G networks, has raised US$28 million in a series A round led by Maor Investments.
The round included participation from McRock Capital, Chevron Technology Ventures, and existing investors Viola Ventures, Grove Ventures, and Koch Disruptive Technologies.
This brings OneLayer’s total funding to over US$43 million.
The company will use the new capital to expand product capabilities and accelerate its global expansion, after recent entry into Latin America and further growth in Europe.
OneLayer’s platform is used by enterprises in sectors such as utilities, manufacturing, mining, airports, and critical infrastructure.
Notable deployments include Southern Linc’s regional LTE network spanning Alabama, Georgia, and southeastern Mississippi, and Evergy’s private LTE network in Kansas and Missouri.
The company partners with firms like Nokia, Ericsson, Digi, Cradlepoint, and cybersecurity vendors including Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Private 5G demand outruns supply
- GSA counts 1,846 customer references for private LTE/5G worth over €100,000 by Q2 2025 1. Buyers want simple, secure options faster than vendors can ship. Teams struggle with device visibility, security gaps, and day‑to‑day operations in live rollouts.
- SNS Telecom counts 3,700 plus private 5G sites worldwide as of Q3 2025 2. Operations is the snag, since teams lack tools to manage thousands of cellular devices with the certainty they have with traditional IT.
- Price quotes swing 3 to 5 times, and multi‑site or multi‑country scope slows scale 3. The market still sits in Creation-to-Adoption, with pilots and early scale while broad routine deployment remains ahead 3.
System integrators and managed service providers can win cellular deals
- Manufacturers added seven deployments in Q2 2025 1. Spending on private 5G could climb at a 41% CAGR through 2028 and top $5 billion 2. Buyers want partners who fuse cellular with enterprise IT. System integrators (IT consultancies that design then deploy complex systems) plus managed service providers can step in.
- The ecosystem already features integrators such as Cognizant and Capgemini (global IT services firms) 3. Named partners like World Wide Technology and Burns & McDonnell create openings for regional firms that bundle management platforms with rollout plus support services.
- Manufacturing leads with 359 deployments 1. Mining, education and defence follow while seaports plus smart cities are growing 1. Providers that specialize by vertical can win deals if they tackle multi‑site complexity that slows rollouts.
