Israel to launch first biochip lab with $31m investment
The Israel Innovation Authority will establish the country’s first laboratory for bio-devices and biochips, with a total investment of 113 million Israeli shekels (US$31 million).
Unlike many similar labs, Israel’s facility will primarily serve industries and high-tech companies.
The project involves collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries and Beckermus Technologies, with 75 million Israeli shekels (US$20.56 million) funded by the Innovation Authority.
This effort will boost advancements in biotechnology and strengthen Israel’s position in the global market.
