Israel to launch first biochip lab with $31m investment

The Israel Innovation Authority will establish the country’s first laboratory for bio-devices and biochips, with a total investment of 113 million Israeli shekels (US$31 million).

Unlike many similar labs, Israel’s facility will primarily serve industries and high-tech companies.

The project involves  collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries and Beckermus Technologies, with 75 million Israeli shekels (US$20.56 million) funded by the Innovation Authority.

This effort will boost advancements in biotechnology and strengthen Israel’s position in the global market.
