IPO-bound AgiBot starts eight-robot tablet QC trial

China-based robotics company AgiBot said on June 24 that eight Genie G2 robots entered Longcheer Technology’s Jiangxi factory to handle the full tablet quality inspection process.

Ai Wen, project director of AgiBot’s Genie business unit, said the company aims to complete experimental verification of solutions for seven industries in the first half of 2026.

In the second half, it plans to start large batch deployments across multiple scenarios and solutions. The company is targeting about 1,000 factory units in 2026 and tens of thousands of units in industrial settings in 2027.

The trial is part of AgiBot’s commercialization push. The company was valued at US$2.07 billion and is targeting a Hong Kong initial public offering in 2026.

Ai said the robots have run for more than 3,000 hours and are operating at about 80% to 90% of human efficiency, at a current cost roughly equal to two years of labor.
