Murata Manufacturing Co., based in Kyoto, is considering shifting some production capacity to India.

This evaluation is in response to increasing demand in the region and an ongoing supply chain realignment, according to Murata President Norio Nakajima.

Murata’s capacitors are used in various electronic devices, including those from Apple, Samsung, Nvidia, and Sony, and also serve components for NASA’s Mars helicopter.
