US investment firm Marlin mulls $2b sale of Swedish tech firm Medius
Marlin Equity Partners is considering a sale of Medius, a Swedish software firm, in a deal that could value the company at about US$2 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.
Marlin, which focuses on software and technology investments, is working with Evercore Inc. on the potential divestment, which could begin in early 2026.
Deliberations are at an early stage, and Marlin may decide not to proceed with a sale, the people said.
Medius, founded in Linköping, Sweden, provides cloud-based accounts payable automation software to clients including UK department store Liberty, sportswear retailer Puma SE, and Lush Cosmetics.
Marlin acquired Medius in 2017, and the company has since made several acquisitions, including Expensya, OnPay Solutions, and Wax Digital.
