Intel unveils Panther Lake chip built on 18A process

Intel has introduced Panther Lake, the first Intel Core Ultra chip built using its advanced 18A semiconductor process.

The processors will be manufactured at Intel’s Fab 52 facility in Chandler, Arizona, and are expected to ship in late 2025.

Intel also previewed Xeon 6+ (Clearwater Forest), its first 18A-based server processor, set for release in the first half of 2026.

This marks Intel’s biggest manufacturing update since Lip-Bu Tan took over as CEO in March 2025.

Under Tan’s leadership, Intel is refocusing on its core business and strengthening its engineering-driven culture.
