The company reported a net loss of US$600 million, compared to a US$100 million loss a year earlier.

Intel’s revenue was US$13.7 billion, beating analysts’ predictions.

Adjusted earnings per share were 15 cents, above the expected 8 cents.

Intel forecasted first-quarter revenue between US$11.7 billion and US$12.7 billion, with breakeven earnings per share, below expectations.

The company cited supply constraints due to yield issues as a factor for the soft outlook.
