Intel names new board chair
Intel said Frank Yeary, its board chair, plans to retire following the company’s annual meeting in May and will be replaced by Craig Barratt.
Yeary joined Intel’s board in 2009 and became chair in 2023, presiding over four CEO transitions and a period that included a decline in the company’s manufacturing position relative to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co..
Barratt joined the board in 2025 and previously worked at Qualcomm and Alphabet, Google’s parent.
Yeary’s departure comes about a year after Lip‑Bu Tan became CEO and follows the retirement of three board members last year, soon after Tan took the helm.
